Boys and Girls,
We began learning about the various types of angles in our geometry unit this week. We discussed that in geometry, an angle is the figure formed by two rays, called the sides of the angle, sharing a common endpoint, called the vertex of the angle. I wanted to share the following video to help you better understand what we have covered so far on an acute angle, obtuse angle, right angle and straight angle.
Students, please click HERE in order to access a fabulous game on measuring angles with a protractor. Test your skills and get some practice in order to prepare for our quiz on Friday!
We have been working through our math unit Geometric Properties. The video above will help the students relate the names of the benchmark angles to their measures in degrees. It will also help the students with identifying and classifying acute, right, obtuse and straight angles.
